The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index jumped by 64.69 points on Thursday, recording a strong gain in the market.
The benchmark index rose by 2.30 percent to close at 2,877.03 points.
Of the companies traded during the day, the share prices of 240 firms increased, while 22 declined. The share prices of two companies remained unchanged.
A total of 56,920,600 shares were traded through 191,251 transactions during the day.
The total turnover stood at Rs21.22 billion, an increase compared to the previous trading session.
All 13 sectoral sub-indices posted gains, contributing to the sharp rise in the overall market.
