Fonepay, Nepal’s leading payment system operator (PSO), has announced that it has been awarded the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) v4.0.1 Level 1 Certification. PCI DSS Level 1 is the highest level of security compliance and is recognised globally as the gold standard for payment card data security.

This achievement reflects Fonepay’s dedication to safeguarding cardholder data, implementing robust infrastructure, and continuously strengthening its security posture, the company said in a statement.
