Yeti Distillery Pvt. Ltd. has honoured internationally acclaimed Paubha artist Samundra Man Singh Shrestha for his outstanding contribution to preserving and promoting Nepal’s traditional art globally.
The recognition coincides with the launch of Shrestha’s latest collaboration with Old Durbar whisky, showcasing his artwork, the mythical creatures, on the brand’s new 15-year-old blended scotch whisky.
The piece is a tribute to Nepal’s rich cultural heritage, featuring mythical figures deeply embedded in Nepali tradition, the company said.
“This piece celebrates Nepal’s artistic legacy, featuring symbolic beings from both the animate and inanimate worlds,” said Shrestha. “It honours iconic figures like the peacock, snow lion, and blue lion, and integrates the five elements—earth, water, fire, air, and sky."
Yeti Distillery’s Managing Director, Abhishek Shrestha, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Nepali artists. “Our partnership with Samundra helps promote Nepali folk art and showcases Nepal’s cultural identity internationally,” he said.
Shrestha expressed his gratitude, acknowledging the opportunity to bring Nepali art to a global audience through the collaboration.
