Joshi is Nabil CEO
Sashin Joshi has been appointed chief executive officer of Nabil Bank.After spending 12 and half years at NIC Asia Bank (previously NIC Bank) as CEO, Joshi joined Nabil for a four-year term. “I am officially starting work at Nabil from Tuesday,” said Joshi.
Joshi had started his banking career at Nabil as management trainee in 1986, where he spent three years. He then joined Grindlays Bank (now Standard Chartered Bank) in 1989 where he worked for 13 years in different capacities.
Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Banking Group, which had taken over Grindlays in 1984, also opened the door for Joshi to work at its branch in Kolkata, India, in 1992. He also worked at ANZ’s headquarters in Melbourne in late 1990s.
Joshi also represented on Grindlays Bank board in Kathmandu on behalf of ANZ. When he left Standard Chartered in 2002, he was the head of corporate and institution banking.
