The Nepali Congress has finalised its candidates for June 22 by-election to be conducted in four constituencies.

A meeting of the party’s Parliamentary Committee headed by Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, who is the party president, picked the names, the party stated. Dipak Kuikel will be contesting from Kathmandu-2, Ram Krishna Ghimire from Chitwan-4, Sode Bista from Bardiya-1, and Puskar Nath Ojha from Kailali-6. By-polls are taking place in these constituencies after Koirala, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Madhav Nepal and Bam Dev Gautam vacated one of the two constituencies they won in the CA polls last year. (PR)
