Muslim man gifts Mahadev statue to hospital

A Muslim social worker gifted a statue of Mahadev, a hindu god, to Chandrapur Hospital at Chandrapur-5 in Rautahat on Monday. Nasim Akthar of Jughauli unveiled the statue on the hospital premises.
“The country will be prosperous if people from different religions unite for the nation’s welfare,” said Akthar. The Mahadev statue that he gifted is valued at Rs 150,000.
Dr Subash Chaudhary of Chandrapur Hospital said, “Akthar has set a great example of religious tolerance and harmony.”
Meanwhile, Sekh Abul Kalam Aajad, a Muslim provincial lawmaker from the Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal in Rautahat, has also declared his plans to erect statues of Saraswoti, the Hindu goddess of learning, in all the schools of his constituency within the next five years.
