Arsenal has donated to relief efforts in Nepal following devastating floods that have killed and displaced people across the country, the English Premier League club said on Tuesday.

The Arsenal Foundation is working with its charity partner, Save the Children, on a dedicated fundraising initiative to support communities affected by the disaster.

“Everyone at Arsenal has been deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the flooding in Nepal,” the club said in a statement.

The club said its thoughts were with those affected, particularly families who have lost loved ones, people still awaiting news of missing relatives and emergency teams supporting affected communities.

Arsenal also acknowledged the impact of the disaster on its supporters in Nepal and the wider Arsenal community.

Save the Children is working with local partners in Nepal to support children and families affected by the flooding and provide urgent assistance, according to the club.

Arsenal said it would pay tribute to the victims ahead of its UEFA Champions League fixture against Napoli this week by observing a minute’s silence, alongside other clubs participating in UEFA competitions.
