Ganga Prasad Upreti has been reappointed as the Chancellor of Nepal Academy.
Prime Minister and chief patron of the Academy, KP Sharma Oli, appointed him to the post again. Similarly, Prof Jagat Prasad Upadhyay of Nepal Sanskrit University has been appointed as the Member Secretary of Academy. A committee led by Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation had recommended his name for the post.
Prime Minister’s press coordinator Chetan Adhikari said they would be administered the oath of office today itself.
Ministry Spokesperson Ghanashyam Upadhyay said although the official letter from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers was yet to be received, the process of appointment was initiated.
