Locals, who were displaced by the flood water, have been shifted to the Dalit Primary School and other safer places.
A non-governmental organisation, Sahamati Sanstha, and Nepal-India Border Upgradation Project have been arranging food and shelters for the flood-affected people.
People are taking shelter at a building constructed by Sahamati Sanstha.
Volunteers of Sahamati Sanstha, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force (APF) personnel are helping the locals to find shelter by rescuing them from the flood-affected areas.
Rescue teams have been facing difficulties to reach Susta due to the flood in Narayani River.
Meanwhile, 391 houses in Paklihawa, Gudi Suryapura, Narsahi and Kudiya among others villagers have been submerged due to incessant downpour.
They have been moved to a local school, informed Raj Kumar Sharma, Chairperson of Pratappur Rural Municipality.
Mukunda Acharya, Chief at the District Police Office, Nawalparasi, Nepal Police and APF personnel have been deployed to carryout rescue operation.
More rescue teams would be fanned out if needed, he added.
