The man, identified as Dil Bahadur Pariyar, a resident of Bijalpura VDC- 8, and his accomplices had, on April 4, 2014, drugged a school girl of Bijalpura VDC and taken her to India with the intention of selling her off.
The traffickers had hidden her at Kanhama Bazaar in Sitamadhi district of India after taking her there. The girl, however, managed to escape from the captivity of her abductors when she regained consciousness and returned home.
Police arrested Pariyar on April 10 after the girl reported to the police about the incident the same day. The police are vigorously searching for others involved in this incident, it is learnt.
