Vice President Nanda Kishor Pun has been admitted to Shree Birendra Hospital Chhauni after taking ill on Saturday.

Pun, who was in Sindhuli to inaugurate a programme, was flown into the Capital in an Army chopper after high heart beat. His secretariat has informed that Pun has been shifted to VIP ward of the hospital after initial treatment at the emergency ward.

The secretariat informed his health condition was improving.
