CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed his hope that the recent political polarisation would lead the country towards economic prosperity and socialism.
Addressing a programme organised to welcome new entrants to the party at the party’s central office in Parisdada, Kathmandu on Sunday, the Maoist supremo said that leftist, communist and progressive forces should unite to form a powerful center and lead the country to attain development, social justice and economic prosperity.
Former Prime Minister Dahal said that the Maoist Centre and UML have formed a party unification coordination committee to talk on the prospects of unification.
Dahal said that huge number of leaders and cadres are joining the Maoist Center from all across the country. “During my Tarai visit, I found out that people from different walks of life have put their faith on our party as an agent of change,” said Dahal.
CPN-ML lawmaker joins Maoist Center
During the programme, lawmaker Kalasa Devi Mahara from CPN-ML led by CP Mainali joined the Maoist Center.
Dahal and other party leaders welcomed Mahara.
Mahara is a lawmaker under proportional representation system from Kanchanpur.
It is learnt that along with Mahara, CPN-ML’s district-level leaders and cadres have joined Maoist Center today.
