Indian national among 2 missing in Kaligandaki
Two persons, including an Indian national, have gone missing after falling into Kaligandaki River in two separate incidents at Dana region of Jomsom road section.Two persons, including an Indian national, have gone missing after falling into Kaligandaki River in two separate incidents at Dana region of Jomsom road section.
The Indian national, named Lallan of Bihar, was returning after offering prayers at Muktinath Temple. He got off when his bus stopped to watch the scenery at Badarjungbhir but lost his balance and fell into the river at around 4:30 pm today.
Rescue works have been hampered due to difficult terrain in the region.
In another separate incident, a tipper driver has gone missing into the river on Thursday night.
Badal Bamjan, 24, of Hetauda, working as a driver at a crusher factory in Narchyang, fell into the river at around 8:30 pm when he had gone to pick up a friend on his motorcycle.
Police has discovered the looking glass of the motorcycle and Bamjan's sleeper but his whereabouts has remained unknown since.
