An unidentified group has set off an improvised explosive device (IED) at the house of an election candidate at Dhanushadham Municipality here on Thursday.
A person trespassed into the compound of the house of Prakshya Shah Malla at Dhanushadham on Thursday night and exploded the IED. Malla is contesting in the local level election to the post of mayor of Dhanushadham Municipality on a Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) ticket.
Security has been tightened in Dhanushadham after the incident, according to police. No casualties were reported from the blast. Police have started a search for the culprit and an investigation into the incident. RSS
