Agro Trade and Investment Exhibition and Conference 2017 has been slated to be held on September 14 in the Capital with the theme entitled “Progressing from Subsistence to Commercial Agriculture”. The event aims to support agro entrepreneurs to scale-up to commercialisation from subsistence farming practices.
The objective of the event is also to attract new investors and entrepreneurs to agro business and create awareness for appropriate polices for agro business, the organiser said on Wednesday.
The three-day event has envisaged achieving its target through two basic strategy —conference and exhibition. The conference aims to create an interaction platform to support agro investors, entrepreneurs and farmers in providing technical and financial information and insights for commercial agriculture, scaling up their agro-business, advocating and raising awareness among the government and donor officials for growth in commercial agriculture.

The Agro Trade and Investment Exhibition and Conference is expected to host about 120 exhibitors and an educational conference for 200 participants.
