Even as the festive season draws closer, Minister for Supplies Karna Bahadur BK on Thursday evening made a surprise visit at Thankot depot of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) to inquire about the situation of import and distribution of petroleum products in Kathmandu Valley.

After inspecting the depot, Minister BK directed depot Chief Netra Kafle to ease the supply of petroleum products and maintain the quality.

He also directed Kafle to resolve the issues of depot lab and parking space at the earliest and ease the supply and distribution of petroleum products in the markets to facilitate the consumers.

During the inspection, the minister also urged the depot chief to start the process to upgrade the storage capacity of the depot.

Meanwhile, depot Chief Kafle apprised Minister BK about the problems the depot has been facing for the past few years.
