According to engineer Shiva Khanal at the Narayan-Muglin Road Project, vehicular movement along the road section resumed from 4 pm after slashing the slope.
Thousands of passengers were stranded following the incident as the road is major route to connect Kathmandu with many parts of the country.
Engineer Khanal informed that works for constructing a retaining wall will be started from tomorrow.
A 50-metre road section collapsed along the bank of Trishuli River at Charkilo following incessant rains on Wednesday night. Four metre of the nine-metre wide road gave way due to a landslip.
Landslides have occurred in, Jalbire Kalikhola, Charkilo and Panchkilo in the district, he added.
Khanal said that landslide debris has been removed from all the places except Jalbire.
The 36-km Muglin-Narayangadh road section is a major route connecting Kathmandu with the Tarai region and it has been blocked several times this season due to ongoing road widening project.
