PM Dahal was speaking at a meeting of the Good Governance and Monitoring Committee under the Legislature-Parliament on Tuesday.
Urging all the political parties and general public not to harbour any doubt over holding local level elections on the announced date, he hinted the possibility of holding the elections in two phases some areas, keeping in mind the sentiments of people.
On a different note, the head of the government said the appointment of Inspector General of Nepal Police was made on the basis of work performance.
PM Dahal said that preparations to appoint Chief of the Commission of the Investigation of Abuse of Authority have reached the final phase.
The post of CIAA Chief has been lying vacant since the Supreme Court disqualified the then Chief Commissioner Lokman Singh Karki to stay in his office on January 8.
He further informed the meeting that tremendous efforts were being made to accelerate the construction of fast tracks, Melamchi Drinking Water Project and irrigation and hydro-power development projects.
He added that the government was committed to reaching the capital expenditure to 80 per cent. RSS
