A National Flag festival was held at the Nepalgunj Stadium during which the national flag was unfurled disseminating a message of national honour and unity.

In the festival organized by Antaral Sansthan, the National Cadet Corps held a march past and presented a demonstration with the Khukuri (traditional Nepali knife).

On the occasion, lyricist of the national anthem, Byakul Maila, was felicitated on behalf of the citizens.

Antaral's Executive Director, Jayanarayan Shah, said one of the purposes of holding the festival was to pressure the government on marking the National Flag Day. RSS
