The arrested is Bikash Kumar Singh, a policeman working at the Janakpur Zone Police Office. He is a resident of Phulbariya VDC-4, Bara District.
The Mahottari District Police detained Singh based on a complaint filed by one Rajani Singh of Itaharwakatti VDC-6.
He was presented to the Mahottari District Court on Thursday seeking extention of his detention pending further investigation.
