Over 60 riders compete in selection round as winners earn spots at Chennai finals.Post Report
The first edition of the TVS Apache Racing Experience in Nepal has concluded, marking the debut of the motorsport programme in the country as TVS Motor Company marks 20 years of the Apache motorcycle series.
The initial selection round was held at the Vehicle Academy and Research Center in Satungal, Kathmandu, attracting more than 60 riders and around 300 spectators. Participants were given an opportunity to train and race in a professionally managed environment designed to mirror competitive motorsport conditions while maintaining safety standards.
Riders received coaching and mentoring from TVS Racing Champions and competed on a purpose-built track featuring 10 corners. Performances were assessed based on fastest lap timings, providing a competitive yet standardised benchmark for selection.
The championship was divided into three categories—160cc, 200cc and 310cc—allowing riders from different engine segments to compete on an equal footing. The top three riders from each category advanced from the Nepal round.
Winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs25,000 each along with riding gear and secured qualification to compete in the TVS Apache Racing Experience finals in Chennai, India. They will now progress to the Grand Finale, scheduled to take place at the Madras International Circuit in April 2026.
Organisers said the Nepal round was aimed at offering structured exposure to track racing and identifying emerging talent, as part of a broader regional motorsport programme.
