Nepse plunges 74.73 points as all sub-indices decline

The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index dropped by 74.73 points, or 2.62 percent, on Wednesday, closing at 2,776.36 points as all sub-indices ended in the red.
Share prices of 13 firms increased while 255 declined, reflecting a broad market downturn.
A total of 30,292,452 shares were traded through 123,730 transactions during the day. Total turnover stood at Rs12.10 billion, up from Rs11.11 billion recorded on Tuesday.
All 13 sub-groups posted losses, dragging the overall index down by nearly 75 points.
Among the gainers, Reliance Spinning Mills and Super Khudi Hydropower rose by 10 percent each, while Bhujung Hydropower, Ridge Line Energy and Surya Kund Hydro gained 9.99 percent each.
On the losing side, Nepal Reinsurance Company dropped the most by 9.84 percent, followed by Saptakoshi Development Bank by 7.28 percent and National Hydropower by 7.17 percent.
