BYD, the world's top manufacturer of new energy cars and power batteries, reached a historic milestone with the creation of its 6 millionth new energy vehicle at its Zhengzhou facility in China. The six-millionth car, dubbed Bao 5, is a super-hybrid SUV manufactured by BYD's subsidiary Fangchengbao, the company said in a statement. To expand its global footprint, BYD adopted a dual approach of exports and local production to accelerate the global presence of new energy passenger vehicles. Currently, BYD has entered 58 countries and regions, and surpassed an accumulative sales of 200,000 units of passenger vehicles, with significant victories in the new energy vehicle market in Thailand, Brazil, and other countries.
