Tambo Mobiles debuts 8 new models in Nepal

New mobile brand Tambo Mobiles has forayed into the Nepali smartphone market with the launch of six feature phones and two smartphones.
“After doing tremendously well in India, this will be Tambo’s first foray into the international market,” the company said in a statement. Tambo Mobiles launched 10 models in April in India.
Shankaracharya Mobile is the authorized dealer of Tambo mobiles in Nepal. The company said it would release six models of feature phones, also called Tambo Powerphones, and two models of smartphones, called Tambo Superphones.
The TA 2 and TA 3 by Tambo are among the best selling smartphones in India. They come with several premium features like full view and face unlock, the company said. Tambo Mobiles provides a 200-day replacement warranty and 365-day screen replacement warranty on all models.
“We are happy to introduce Tambo mobile phones in Nepal. Nepali customers will be able to purchase quality mobile phones at reasonable prices. We are committed to bringing phones as per customer interest in the days to come as well,” said Sudhir Kumar, CEO of Tambo Mobiles.
All Tambo phones sold in Nepal have features like full view display, face recognition and fingerprint sensor which are generally available on premium smartphones only. These phones support 4G VoLTE and include features like wi-fi, Bluetooth, GPS and headphone jack.
Established in 2017 in India, Tambo aims to do business differently and efficiently, and is driven by systems to give maximum value to its customers, partners and people, the company said.
Tambo has a product portfolio of Superphones and Powerphones to enable greater flexibility and mobility in people’s lives. “Through its products, Tambo aims to deliver delight, durability and design,” it said.
