The South Korean electronics giant has started taking preorders for the new phone from its showrooms and selected retail stores. The new big-screened phones will go on sale in the domestic market from midnight on October 10. The device will be available in black and maple gold colours and cost Rs102,990.
The new Galaxy Note 8 comes with a big, immersive Infinity Display that fits comfortably in one hand, an S Pen, a stylus, to write, draw and communicate, and dual camera with dual optical image stabilisation to capture stunning photos.
The phone also comes with Samsung’s defence-grade security platform Samsung Knox.
The Galaxy Note 8 has the biggest screen ever on a Note device. It comes with a 6.3-inch quad HD+ Super AMOLED infinity display. This screen provides more room to watch, read and draw, and makes multitasking easier.

Samsung Nepal expects to sell over 3,000 units of Note 8 in a year.
One of the defining features of the Note series is the S Pen. The intelligent S Pen installed on the Galaxy Note 8 unlocks entirely new ways to write, draw and interact with the phone and communicate with friends.
It has a finer tip, improved pressure sensitivity, and features that enable users to express themselves.
The rear camera on the Galaxy Note 8 comes with two 12-megapixel lens—wide angle and telephoto. Both are equipped with optical image stabilisation to produce sharper photos and videos. For more advanced photo-taking, the Galaxy Note 8’s Live Focus feature lets users control the depth of field by allowing them to adjust the bokeh effect in preview mode and even after taking the photo.
Four years ago, Samsung introduced the first Galaxy device which was water resistant. The new Note 8 can also be taken almost anywhere, as it is water and dust resistant. It also supports the most advanced wireless charging capabilities yet, so people can get a quick, convenient charge.
The new Note 8 with 6 GB RAM, a 10 nm processor, 64 GB internal storage and expandable memory of up to 256 GB provides all the power to browse, stream, play games and multitask.
The Galaxy Note 8 also offers a choice of biometric authentication options including iris and fingerprint scanning in addition to face recognition, pin, pattern and password.
Galaxy Note 8 users will get 16 GB 4G data at the rate of 2 GB per month for eight months from Ncell, a leading telecom company. The Note 8 also comes with an eight-month breakage insurance.
Consumers can pay for the phone in installments from various partner banks of Samsung Nepal.
