Acharya elected new SEJON president

Pushpa Raj Acharya of The Himalayan Times has been elected as the President of Society of Economic Journalists-Nepal (SEJON) on Friday. Acharya secured 118 votes. His closest rival Mod Nath Dhakal of The Rising Nepal bagged 106 votes.
Likewise, Prabhat Bhattarai has been elected to the post of Vice President and Bhim Prasad Gautam to the post of General Secretary. Sujan Oli has been elected as secretary and Bhagwat Bhattarai as treasurer.
Eliza Upreti, Himal Poudel, Sagar Ghimire, Krishna Rijal, Shiva Bohara have been elected as SEJON members. A total of 227 votes were cast in the election.
