Nepal Pharma Expo from Feb 28
The fifth edition of Nepal Pharma Expo is all set to kick off at exhibition hall, Bhrikutimandap, from February 28.The three-day expo, being organised by the Association of Pharmaceutical Producers of Nepal (APPON), will showcase various medicinal products along with the latest technology being used in drugs manufacturing.
Being organised under theme “Sustenance through Quality”, the expo will have 106 stalls showcasing products of 91 companies, including 45 from India and Singapore.
Speaking at a programme here on Monday, the expo’s coordinator Deepak Prasad Dahal said the event aims at exchanging information, including pharmacopeias — a set of standards in drug manufacturing that the various countries have adopted. “Besides, visitors can get information on drug manufacturing process, including capsule manufacturing, filling the liquid medicine along with the drugs testing equipments,” he said.
APPON is organising the exhibition in collaboration with the Department of Drug Administration, Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nepal Pharmaceutical Association, Nepal Pharmaceutical Association and Graduate Pharmacists Association. The organisers have expected 30,000 visitors.
