A westerly low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere is partially influencing Nepal, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said on Wednesday.

Haze is likely at a few places in the Tarai tonight. The Himalayan region will be generally cloudy, the hilly region partly cloudy, and the Tarai mainly fair.

There is a possibility of light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

On Thursday morning, mist is likely at some places in the Tarai.

The hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces will remain generally cloudy, with chances of light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning at a few places. One or two places in the remaining provinces may also receive light rain or snowfall, the division said.
