The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast generally cloudy conditions across the country on Wednesday, with widespread rain, thunderstorms and snowfall likely in several regions.

During the day, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to remain fully overcast, while the rest of the country will see partial to general cloud cover. Many places in these provinces, along with some hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Bagmati, may witness moderate rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder, lightning, gusty winds and hail.

Heavy rainfall or snowfall is likely at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim. Windstorms are also expected in parts of Madhesh, Lumbini, Gandaki, Bagmati and Koshi.

At night, generally cloudy conditions will persist nationwide. Many areas in Koshi, Madhesh, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim, particularly in hilly and mountainous regions, are likely to receive moderate rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning, while a few places in the Tarai may also see similar conditions.
