The Meteorological Forecasting Division said on Tuesday morning that the country will see generally cloudy conditions throughout the day, with moderate rain likely in many hilly areas and at some places in the Tarai. Heavy rainfall is possible at one or two locations in the hilly areas of Koshi Province.

Tonight, skies will remain mostly cloudy nationwide. Moderate rain is expected in many parts of Madhesh Province, and in the hilly and Tarai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Some other areas of the country may also receive rain.

The division said heavy to very heavy rainfall could occur in a few places in Madhesh Province, as well as in the hilly and Tarai regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces. One or two places in the hilly and Tarai regions of Gandaki Province and in the Tarai region of Lumbini Province may also experience heavy rain.

According to the division, the monsoon trough is positioned north of its average location, close to Nepal’s Tarai.
