Cloudy conditions are expected across much of Nepal on Wednesday, particularly in the hilly and Himalayan regions, with chances of light rain and snowfall in some areas, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.

Koshi Province will see generally cloudy weather in both hilly and Himalayan belts, while similar conditions are forecast for the Himalayan regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Other hilly and mountainous areas will remain partly cloudy, and the Terai is likely to see mainly fair weather.

Light rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two locations in similar regions elsewhere.

During the night, cloud cover is expected to persist over the hilly and Himalayan regions of Sudurpaschim and across the country, while the Terai will remain mostly clear.

There is a chance of light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

The division said the current weather pattern is influenced by a partial impact of westerly winds along with local wind systems.
