The hilly and Himalayan regions are likely to remain generally cloudy on Monday, with chances of light rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.

Sudurpashchim and Karnali provinces are expected to see such conditions at a few locations, while other hilly and Himalayan areas may also witness isolated rainfall or snowfall. The Tarai region will remain partly cloudy.

By night, cloud cover is expected to persist in the hills and mountains, with similar weather likely in Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

The country is currently under the partial influence of westerly and local winds, according to the division.
