Moderate rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning are likely in several parts of the country on Sunday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
Generally cloudy conditions are expected over the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, as well as Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, while the remaining areas will experience partly cloudy weather.
The division said moderate rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning may occur at a few places in the mountainous region. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is also likely at a few places in the hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, and at a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
One or two places in the Tarai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces may also receive moderate rain with thunder and lightning.
Tonight, generally cloudy conditions are expected over the hilly and mountainous regions of the country, including Koshi, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, while other areas will remain partly cloudy.
Moderate rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in the mountainous region. Similar conditions may occur at a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces and at a few places in the hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. One or two places in the Tarai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces may also experience moderate rain with thunder and lightning.
