The Meteorological Forecasting Division said the weather will remain generally cloudy across the country throughout Friday.

During the afternoon, moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in many areas of the hilly regions of Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. A few places in the Tarai may also experience similar conditions.

At night, general cloudiness is expected to persist. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in many hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places in the remaining Tarai regions. One or two locations in the hilly areas of Bagmati Province may witness heavy rainfall.
