Former Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha has said that the government would not be safe by putting the life of Dr Govinda KC at risk.

Shrestha on Tuesday met Dr KC, who is on the 21^st day of his 16^th hunger strike, at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.

The former Chief Justice said that the government should immediately hold talks with Dr KC.

“I am saddened by the unwillingness (from the government) to hold a dialogue,” said Shrestha talking to mediapersons after the meeting, “The government should open all channels of dialogue.”

Shrestha further said that both the government and Dr KC should find a solution that would result in the victory of Nepali people.
