People flocked to the hills surrounding Kathmandu Valley including Chandragiri, Phulchoki, Shivapuri, Daman and Nagarkot after the news of snowfall in the famous tourist destinations on Monday.

These areas witnessed rainfall today followed by snowfall. Meteorological Forecasting Division said rainfall has occurred in mountainous and hilly region across the country resulting in drop in temperature. The rainfall has been attributed to westerly winds entering in the country from Dadeldhura and Dipayal.
