Shooter among three arrested in Gauchan murder case

Police has arrested three more persons in the daylight murder case of construction entrepreneur Sharad Kumar Gauchan.
Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) team paraded Lopsang Lama, Roshan Budathoki and Amar Rana amid a press conference on Monday. Among the arrestees, Rana is said to be the main shooter who pulled the trigger on Gauchan.
MPCD, however, has not divulged any information about when and where the trio were arrested from.
Police said Rana had also shot at gangster Dawa Lama while he was entering a fitness club in Bouddha on April 11, 2017. Similarly, Lama had also shot at CPN-UML aligned Youth Association Nepal Rupandehi district chairman Durga Tiwari on December 24, 2016.
Federation of Contractors' Association of Nepal (FCAN) President Gauchan was shot dead in broad daylight at Shantinagar, Kathmandu on October 9 while he was on his way to the FCAN office in Anamnagar in his vehicle.
