Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Thursday briefed President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the latest political developments following the registration of the constitution amendment bill.

Sources at the Prime Minister’s Office said PM Dahal informed President Bhandari that the government had registered the constitution amendment bill in the Parliament Secretariat “to address the demands of the agitating Madhes-based parties”.

“I have been in discussion with the major parties as well as Madhes-based forces about holding elections,” the prime minister told the President.
