The arrestees have been identified as Farjana Sibaha and Kishor Gurung.
Sibaha, whose Nepal Medical Council (NMC) registration number is 9636, was picked from Midat Hospital, Lalitpur, while Gurung (NMC registration number 7479) was arrested from Shiva Puri Dental Clinic, Maharajgunj, on Sunday.
According to SP Debesh Lohani, spokesperson for the CIB, the duo was found to be possessing fake credentials of Bihar Intermediate Education Council. They were remanded in judicial custody by the Kathmandu District Court. The CIB has arrested 55 doctors on charge of possessing fake academic credentials since February this year. In June, at least 36 such doctors were arrested from various parts of the country.
