The United Kingdom on Wednesday appointed Richard Morris as its new ambassador to Nepal.
The newly appointed ambassador will take up his duties from November 2015, according to a statement issued by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Morris will succeed Andrew James Sparkes who retired from the British diplomatic service.
Former ambassador Sparkes served from 26 April 2013 to 2015. He is currently the FCO head at the Pacific Department of the British Foreign Ministry.
Joining the British Foreign Service in 1990, Morris has already served in various UK missions including in Australia, Mexico and Canada, as well as the British
Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
His agreemo has already been approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
