Chairman of Janata Samajbadi Party Upendra Yadav has decided to change the party’s ministers amid ongoing conflict with the faction led by party’s federal council chair Baburam Bhattarai.
The party has decided to change its three of the four ministers in the Sher Bahadur Deuba government.
According to Yadav, the party has decided to recall three of the four ministers, except Rajendra Shrestha, who is minister for federal affairs and general administration.
“We have decided to recall three ministers,” Yadav told the Post.
Yadav had given the list of new ministers to Prime Minister Deuba during a meeting on Sunday.
Mohammad Ishtiyaq Rayi will replace Renu Yadav as minister for physical infrastructure and transport, Pradip Yadav will replace Ramsahay Prasad Yadav as minister for forest and environment and Mrigendra Singh Yadav will replace Mahendra Rai Yadav as minister for agriculture and livestock development, according to party sources.
Prime Minister Deuba’s press chief Govinda Pariyar said most probably the new ministers will be administered the oath of office and secrecy on Monday evening.
The President’s communication expert Tika Dhakal, however, said there was no information about changing the ministers.
