Nepal’s Ambassador to US Regmi presents credentials
President Trump expresses US government’s commitment to further strengthen Nepal-US relations.

Nepal’s Ambassador to the United States Lok Darshan Regmi presented his letters of credence to the US President Donald Trump at a formal ceremony at the White House on Wednesday.
Following the ceremony, Ambassador Regmi had an audience with President Trump, during which he conveyed greetings and best wishes of the President, the prime minister, and the people of Nepal for the President’s good health and the continued prosperity of the United States.
Nepal’s embassy in Washington, D.C., in a statement, said that he also expressed gratitude for the US’s longstanding support for Nepal’s socio-economic development and noted his confidence that the multifaceted and enduring partnership between the two nations would continue to deepen.
Trump welcomed Ambassador Regmi and congratulated him on assuming his responsibilities. The embassy said President Trump reiterated the US government’s commitment to further strengthening the cordial and cooperative relations between the two countries through increased collaboration in mutual areas of interest.
Ambassador Regmi arrived in the United States on March 20, assumed office on March 21, and presented a copy of his credentials to the Acting Chief of Protocol on March 27.
