Earthquake jolts far-western Nepal, no casualties reported

A 4.6-magnitude earthquake was recorded in the early hours of Tuesday in the hilly regions of far-western Nepal.
According to Chintan Timilsina, the head of the Seismological Centre in Surkhet, the epicentre was located in the Nwadhar area of Sigas Rural Municipality-7 in Baitadi.
The tremor was felt at 7:45am in several districts, including Bajhang, Doti, Dadeldhura, and Baitadi.
No reports of casualties or significant property damage have been received.
Local authorities have urged residents in the affected areas to remain vigilant. Experts caution that the region remains at risk of a larger quake, as it has not experienced a major earthquake in a long time. They advise preparedness and heightened caution in the face of frequent minor tremors.
