Different countries have congratulated Nepal on Construction Day.
In a message to President Ramchandra Paudel, British King Charles conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the President and the Nepali people on the occasion.
“I value the bond between our nations and hope that our countries can continue to work closely together on important global issues, whether they be peace and prosperity or environment and climate change, which will benefit future generations for years to come,” said Charles.
“My wife and I would like to take this opportunity to send you and all Nepalis our warmest good wishes for the coming year.”
In an official statement, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken extended greetings to Nepalis on behalf of the US government.
“The United States greatly values our 77 years of friendship with Nepal. We are proud of our joint efforts to strengthen people-to-people ties, boost economic growth through initiatives like the debt-free partnership with the Millennium Challenge Corporation, promote justice, and uphold democratic principles,” said Blinken.
“We remain committed to working with Nepal to increase its climate resilience and advance its transition to clean energy. We look forward to our continued close collaboration in the future.”
Blinken said it is also an important moment to recognise many of Nepal’s achievements, including the recent passage of historic transitional justice legislation, and “we look forward to its successful implementation bringing justice for victims and survivors.”
Likewise, the European Union has extended best wishes to the government and people of Nepal on Constitution Day.
“The European Union in Nepal remains committed to supporting Nepal’s journey towards a more democratic, inclusive, and prosperous future. Together, we can achieve great things,” the Delegation of the European Union to Nepal said in a post on X.
Similarly, Australian ambassador to Nepal Leann Johnston, in a post on X, said Australia sends its warmest wishes to the government and people of Nepal on Constitution Day.
