A 32-year-old woman from Gangapur in ward 9 of Pratappur Municipality in Nawalparasi West, died from snakebite on Sunday.
Runa Pal was bitten by a snake in her sleep and was found unconscious by family members.
She was first taken to the snakebite treatment center of the Nepali Army, but when they could not treat her, she was transferred to the District Hospital.
She died in the course of treatment. Snakebite cases in the district have increased with the onset of monsoon.
