Congress registers victory in 32 constituencies, UML in 19

The Nepali Congress has topped the seat tally as the final results of 88 constituencies under the first-past-the-post have been made public as of Thursday evening.
As of 6:15pm, Congress has won 32 seats. UML is placed second with a win in 19 constituencies.
The CPN (Maoist Centre) is placed third in the seat tally winning nine seats as the CPN (Unified Socialist) and the Rabi Lamichhane-led Rastriya Swatantra Party have been placed fourth with registering victory in seven constituencies each.
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party is in the fifth position winning four seats.
The Janata Samajbadi Party, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party have won two seats each to rank sixth in the seat tally.
An independent candidate, Nepal Majdoor Kishan Party, Janamat Party and Rastriya Janamorcha have won one seat each.
As per the latest update, Congress is leading in 24 constituencies, UML in 25, CPN (Maoist Centre) in eight, CPN (Unified Socialist) in three and Rastriya Swatantra Party has maintained a lead in one constituency.
