Six people dead in Dailekh car accident

The vehicle, en route to Bahakot from Surkhet, veered off the road and plunged some 25 metres below.
Police identified the deceased as Nirmal Bam, Rajendra Bahadur Shahi, Ratna Shahi, Dilip Shahi, Shamsher Bam and the driver Ramesh Shahi. Chief District Officer Laxmi Prasad Banskota said the two injured—Mansara Shahi and Juddha Shahi—are receiving treatment in a Shurkhet-based hospital.
Detailed investigation into the incident is going on, said police. In a separate incident, a 19-year-old man died in a road accident in Teku bridge, Kathmandu, on Wednesday. Jiban Singh from Kanchanpur district—currently residing in Kirtipur, Kathmandu— died on the way to a hospital, police said.
Similarly in Morang district, a motorcyclist died in a road accident at Patharishanishchare Municipality-10 on Tuesday night. Padam Rajbansi, 30, of Mechinagar Municipality-14 in Jhapa district died after the tipper hit the motorcycle. Rajbansi died on the way to a hospital in Urlabari, Morang. Police said the tipper driver has fled the scene.
