Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said some political parties are playing with the life of Dr Govinda KC.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said some political parties are playing with the life of Dr Govinda KC.
Hinting at opposition Nepali Congress and Bibeksheel Sajha Party, PM Oli said they have been playing with the life of Dr KC to fulfill their interests.
Addressing the 19th general meeting of Pokhara University in Pokhara on Thursday, PM said government was serious about Dr KC’s deteriorating health.
According to PM’s secretariat, he claimed that obstructing the government’s team of doctors to see Dr KC was illegal. “It was not justifiable to accept what a group of people say,” he said. “We could not understand whether Govinda KC is acting on his own will or he is depending on others.”
The PM further said if some political parties wish to continue with their politics of showcasing Dr KC’s hunger strike, it will not last long.
He also said that resorting to strike was against the professional ethics of doctors.
“Strikes of other professionals may not affect much but many lives could be lost if doctors refuse to check up patients,” he said adding that was against the moral ethics of the doctors who refuse to treat patients.
