Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal lawmaker Lal Babu Raut has been appointed the Chief Minister (CM) of Province 2.

Province Chief Ratneshwor Lal Kayastha conferred the appointment letter to Raut, who is also the Parliamentary Party leader of the SSFN. CM Raut also received a letter granting him the authority to appoint ministers amid a special ceremony held at the office of the Province Chief.

The newly appointed CM said that the dream of the martyrs of Madhes to form a ‘Madhes government’ had come true with the alliance of Madhes-based parties forming the government in Province 2.
