CPN-UML candidate Ganesh Singh Thagunna has garnered 14,893 votes while his nearest rival Nepali Congress’ Bikram Dhami has secured 10,804 votes, informed the Office of Chief Election Officer. Almost half of the total votes have been counted so far in the district.
Likewise, left alliance candidate are leading in provincial assembly vote count as well. With 7,648 votes counted so far, UML candidate Gyalbu Bohara has secured 4,139 votes while NC’s Madan Giri has been able to garner 3121 votes in Darchula province constituency ‘A’.
Similarly, in Darchula provincial constituency ‘B’ CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate Man Bahadur Dhami has mustered 4,935 votes and his nearest rival NC candidate Jagdish Pal has secured 3,551 votes with 8,436 votes counted so far.
